Super Easy Buffalo Chicken Wraps Recipe (Cheddar’s Copycat Recipe)
I’ve always loved visiting my local Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen restaurant because they have such tasty food, a wide variety of options, and great prices. Their buffalo chicken wraps are always a favorite when I visit. I loved them so much I decided to try making them at home so that I can have them any time.
I love that this version can be made your own to suit your tastes and use whatever you have on hand. For example, you can swap the buffalo sauce for barbecue or honey mustard for any kiddos or folks who don’t enjoy spice. Swap the crispy chicken for grilled, shredded, or rotisserie. Add any veggies you like. It’s a great basic meal that you can eat often by changing up the flavor profiles and add-ins.
WHY THIS SUPER EASY BUFFALO CHICKEN WRAPS RECIPE WORKS
Great for Meal Prep: These wraps are great to prepare in advance. I like to make a few at a time and have them for lunch! Even the coleslaw mix holds up well to reheating, unlike wraps made with lettuce.
Customizable: You can truly make this your own. Add extra veggies. Swap the chicken tenders for grilled chicken. Use different sauces. It’s truly a blank canvas at its core.
Easy: Simply bake or air fry your chicken tenders (or use leftover chicken to make it even easier) then assemble!
Balanced: This wrap is chock full of protein and can be adapted to meet your dietary needs. I like to use Realgood Foods Co. chicken which has 23 grams of protein and 3 net carbs per serving as well as Bolthouse Yogurt Ranch Dressing which has only 50 calories per serving. You can also swap the breaded chicken for grilled, baked, or rotisserie chicken for an even lower carb option. Low carb tortillas or whole wheat tortillas are another great way to make this a healthier meal. Feel free to omit the cheese if desired and add extra veggies for fiber and nutrients.
Under 30 Minutes: While the chicken cooks, you can assemble the rest of the ingredients then you’re ready for a delicious meal!

HOW TO FOLD A BUFFALO CHICKEN WRAP
Believe it or not there are many different ways to fold a wrap. Here’s an article explaining several options. I opt for the easiest way, a cylinder wrap, although it does allow some of your ingredients to fall out of the end of the wrap.
The cylinder wrap is pretty straightforward with all ingredients placed in the middle of the wrap then rolling it all up tightly without worrying about tucking in the ends. This is a great option if your tortilla isn’t an XL size because you don’t need as much excess tortilla when you don’t tuck the ends. If you’re like me and don’t prefer the end bites of most burritos and wraps because of how much tortilla is in the bite, the cylinder wrap might be a great option for you too!
I will admit some of the other methods for folding the wrap DO look prettier (as evidenced by my not so gorgeous photos in this post).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do you make chicken wraps not soggy?
There are several ways you can ensure your wraps don’t get soggy. Use a barrier between the wet ingredients and the tortilla, such as the chicken and cheese. Ensure all veggies being added to the wrap are thoroughly dried. If prepping your wraps in advance, consider storing sauces on the side instead of including them on the wrap.
What can I add to my wrap?
The sky is truly the limit when making wraps! I love these with the ingredients listed but you can add bagged salad kits, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, carrots, celery, blue cheese, hot sauce, or anything else you can imagine.
Are chicken wraps healthy?
These chicken wraps are very balanced and the ingredients can be tailored to your specific dietary needs. Low carb or whole wheat wraps are great along with lower carb chicken tenders such as Realgood Foods. You can use a yogurt based ranch too and omit cheese if desired.
Can wraps be made the night before?
Yes! These can be reheated in a microwave or on the stovetop. Note: if you’re adding ingredients like lettuce it might not reheat as well. The coleslaw mix listed in the recipe reheats just fine, though! You can leave off the sauces and add them just before eating to avoid the wrap getting soggy.
Can you make a buffalo chicken wrap in the air fryer?
Yes! Admittedly, I’m not a frequent air fryer so I prefer to just toss these in a hot skillet to toast the edges. To air fry, preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees and cook for 4-6 minutes, flipping halfway through.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS
This meal goes great with any typical “sandwich” sides like french fries (regular or sweet potato), chips, a side salad, etc.
STORAGE OF SUPER EASY BUFFALO CHICKEN WRAPS RECIPE
This can be stored in the refrigerator for up to four days. Reheat in the microwave or in the oven or air fryer. Do not freeze.
