SIMPLE CINCINNATI STYLE SKYLINE CHILI DIP RECIPE

  • Author: Miranda Schultz
  • Total Time: 18 minutes

Description

Cincinnatians take chili seriously, and if you’ve ever tried Cincinnati style chili, you know it’s unlike any other. Skyline is a popular Cincinnati based chili chain restaurant serving their delicious coneys, burritos, chili bowls, and my personal favorite – the chili cheese dip.

This simple Cincinnati Style Skyline Chili Dip recipe combines the store-bought canned version of their chili with cream cheese and cheddar cheese for a delicious dip. It’s perfect for Football season & tastes just like what you’d get at a Skyline restaurant.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 blocks cream cheese (12 ounces total)
  • One 15 ounce can Skyline Chili
  • Two Cups Finely Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese (shredding your own provides the best texture!)

Instructions

Microwave:

  • Place cream cheese in the bottom of a small oven safe dish
  • Microwave in 30 second increments until spreadable.
  • Spread over bottom of pan to fully cover.
  • Open Skyline Chili and stir well.
  • Pour over cream cheese.
  • Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Microwave for 2 minutes until bubbly.

Oven:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Spread cream cheese along the bottom of a small baking dish.
  • Pour chili on top of cream cheese.
  • Shred cheddar cheese and add to top of chili.
  • Bake until cheese is melted, approximately 15 minutes.
