Description

Nothing screams winter and Christmas time like peppermint christmas desserts, and this easy peppermint bark recipe with only three ingredients is the perfect quick treat to make for the mint chocolate lovers in your life.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips (or dark chocolate)
  • 3 squares of almond bark (or one cup white chocolate chips)
  • 2 candy canes
  • Optional: Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Line baking sheet with parchment paper or silicon baking mat (I love the Amazon brand for an affordable option)
  2. Crush candy canes and set aside. You can use a mallet or a heavy skillet.
  3. Melt semi-sweet or dark chocolate in the microwave in 30 second increments until melted. This should take approximately 90 seconds.
  4. Spread a thin layer of the semi sweet chocolate on the lined baking sheet.
  5. Melt white chocolate or almond bark in 30 second increments until melted. This should take approximately 90 seconds.
  6. Spread a thin layer of the white chocolate on the lined baking sheet.
  7. Quickly spread crushed peppermint and sprinkles on top of white chocolate and gently press down so they stick to the chocolate.
  8. Place in the freezer for 5-10 minutes until hardened.
  9. Remove from the silicon liner or parchment paper and break into small pieces.
