Description
Tangy, spicy, creamy and delicious, this healthy buffalo chicken dip is a lighter more protein packed take on a classic recipe thanks to a lesser amount of cream cheese and added plain greek yogurt.
Ingredients
Units
Scale
- 1 block cream cheese (either reduced fat or full fat are fine)
- 1 cup plain greek yogurt
- 1.5 cups cooked shredded chicken (a great use for leftover rotisserie chicken)
- 1 cup buffalo sauce (I like Sweet Baby Ray’s)
- 1/2 cup light ranch dressing (or substitute a packet of ranch seasoning)
Instructions
Crockpot:
- Add all ingredients to the crockpot on low and cook until warmed through. Stir well and serve directly from the crockpot if desired.
Oven:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Soften cream cheese in the microwave in 30 second increments until able to stir.
- Add cream cheese and all other ingredients into oven safe dish and back for approximately 20 minutes until warmed through.
Microwave:
- To a microwave safe bowl add cream cheese and microwave in 30 second increments until softened.
- Add all other ingredients to the bowl, stir, and microwave in 30 second increments until warmed through.
Notes
Serve with tortilla chips, celery, carrots, or cucumber. This is delicious as a filling in a wrap too!
