- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup chicken broth (or water)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (plus more for serving, if desired)
Instructions
- Add the chicken: Place chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
- Season: Sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika over the chicken.
- Add liquid: Pour chicken broth or water around (not directly on top of) the seasoned chicken).
- Add BBQ: Add half of the BBQ sauce on top of the chicken (reserve the rest until the chicken is cooked).
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is very tender.
- Shred: Shred chicken using two forks.
- Add Remaining BBQ: Add the remaining BBQ sauce to the crockpot and stir. Let it warm for 10-15 minutes more.
- Serve: Enjoy this BBQ chicken on buns, in wraps, on salds, over rice or however you like!
