Ingredients
- 1 (21 oz) can blueberry pie filling
- 1.5 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1/2 box cake mix (lemon, yellow, white or other mix of choice)
- 1 stick salted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat Oven – Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Add Blueberry Layer – Spread the blueberry pie filling evenly in the bottom of the dish, then sprinkle fresh or frozen blueberries on top and combine.
- Add Cake Mix – Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the blueberries.
- Drizzle Butter – Pour melted butter evenly over the top, ensuring it covers as much of the dry cake mix as possible.
- Bake – Place in the oven and bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Cool & Serve – Let it cool for a few minutes before serving warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
This is an incredibly versatile dish. Substitute your favorite fruit and pie filling as well as your favorite box cake mix.
For a thicker crust, add the entire box of cake mix and an extra 1/2 stick of butter. You might need an extra 5 minutes baking time as well.
